Product overview
Equine Blend is selected for high-traffic farm and equine surfaces. Its particle size is intended to reduce the chance of stone lodging between the sole and frog of a horse’s hoof.
Specialty equine-surface material sourced and supplied by GLWD after project review.
Site preparation, drainage, installed depth, traffic, and maintenance affect performance. No surface material can guarantee prevention of hoof injury.
Dump truck delivery after staff review. Available for delivery.
Delivered loose by dump truck. GLWD reviews lane width, gates, footing, quantity, and dump location before assigning the truck.
Measure the length and width of the area and the desired material depth. For irregular areas, divide the project into smaller sections and measure each one. A phone can help collect approximate measurements—iPhones include the Measure app, and similar measuring apps are available for other phones. Measure the high-traffic surface and planned installed depth. Base preparation and drainage can change the quantity substantially. Use the Product Finder Quiz if you are still choosing a material, then estimate your quantity.
Choose a firm, level dump location with enough room for the driver to enter, raise the truck bed, unload, and leave safely. Check for low tree limbs, overhead power or communication lines, gates, narrow entrances, soft ground, steep slopes, and tight turns. Identify anything hidden beneath the route or dumping area, including septic tanks and drain fields, irrigation lines, pipes, culverts, utility lines, recently filled trenches, and other breakable structures. Dump trucks are extremely heavy and may crack concrete or asphalt, especially when crossing edges or leaving the paved surface. The driver makes the final decision about whether the requested location can be reached safely. Correct drainage and prepare the base before delivery. Confirm safe gate width, overhead clearance, animal separation, and a firm staging location.
Send GLWD the material, quantity, delivery address, name, and email. The team will confirm availability and pricing.
