Crushed Asphalt material

Product overview

Processed reclaimed asphalt for compactable drives, access areas, and bases.

What the material is

Crushed Asphalt reuses processed pavement as an aggregate that can recompact into a durable, budget-conscious surface.

How GLWD supplies it

Recycled pavement material supplied by GLWD. Current processing source, gradation, and availability are confirmed at ordering.

When not to use it

Surface appearance, compaction, drainage, and long-term performance depend on site preparation and installation.

Pickup and delivery

Pickup at Pit 421 or dump truck delivery. Confirmed when ordering.

Truck and load options

Loose bulk pickup or dump-truck delivery. GLWD plans load size from weight, access, route, and the number of placement areas.

Quantity guidance

Measure the length and width of the area and the desired material depth. For irregular areas, divide the project into smaller sections and measure each one. A phone can help collect approximate measurements—iPhones include the Measure app, and similar measuring apps are available for other phones. Measure the compacted surface area and depth, then allow for compaction and grade correction. Use the calculator before requesting the final load plan. Use the Product Finder Quiz if you are still choosing a material, then estimate your quantity.

Delivery preparation

Choose a firm, level dump location with enough room for the driver to enter, raise the truck bed, unload, and leave safely. Check for low tree limbs, overhead power or communication lines, gates, narrow entrances, soft ground, steep slopes, and tight turns. Identify anything hidden beneath the route or dumping area, including septic tanks and drain fields, irrigation lines, pipes, culverts, utility lines, recently filled trenches, and other breakable structures. Dump trucks are extremely heavy and may crack concrete or asphalt, especially when crossing edges or leaving the paved surface. The driver makes the final decision about whether the requested location can be reached safely. Grade and stabilize the base, address drainage, and have compaction equipment ready. Choose a firm dumping point away from finished surfaces.
