Project overview

A qualified Sand Clay source for a high-volume project

From September 2025 through May 2026, GLWD supplied 67,200 cubic yards of Sand Clay from Pit 421 for a large infrastructure project in South Carolina.

GLWD coordinated material supply at Pit 421 and hauled 14,100 cubic yards with its own trucks. Other carriers transported the remaining 53,100 cubic yards from the pit.

Project testing identified Pit 421

Independent project testing identified Pit 421 as the source whose sampled Sand Clay met the project’s required material criteria.

Planning a specification-driven project?

That result applies to the material sampled and tested for this project. Material characteristics can vary, so contractors must independently sample and test current material to confirm it meets their project specifications.

Tracking a multi-carrier haul

Daily haul sheets helped the Pit 421 team record the participating trucks and the number of loads completed by each truck. This supported day-to-day coordination across GLWD trucks and the other carriers moving material from the pit.

Planning a large-volume haul?

Start with material requirements, quantity, and schedule.

Tell GLWD what the project requires, how much material is needed, and when hauling must begin. The team can review current material availability, independent testing needs, and truck coordination.
